The Nukini Tribe has over 750 members, all living along the left bank of the River Môa. The majority of the tribe lives inside the Tierra Indiana, located in the municipality of Mâncio Lima. They are organized in small clans: Inubakevu – People of Jaguar, Panabakevu – The Açaí People, Itsãbakevu- People of the Patoá and Shãnumbakevu – People of the Cobra.
